Spring Migration Festival
Spring Migration is a Gay & Lesbian festival held in Yackandandah annually. It is open to all people regardless of sexuality.
Come along and join us for our fourth Festival in 2008 - a weekend of fun and frivolity in beautiful Yackandandah, north-east Victoria (just south of Albury/Wodonga) & (just north of Beechworth)
This year the weekend starts off with a "Special" Meet & Greet on Friday 5th September, 2008 with our favourite performers (A SURPRISE) from Melbourne, entertainment at it's best and something you'll remember for years to come.
This will be an event not to be missed, with dancing later on to be had at a new venue, with feathers falling off boas and a worthwhile spectacle in itself. (Usually the crowd consists of half local and half visitors from all over the country).
Then Saturday 6th Sept, 2008 "Shop Till You Drop" or just sit and watch the world go by or cruise around town to check out our delightful and eclectic mix of antique, specialist, arty and unique shops.
Breakfast is also available all day in our range of cafes, the Star Hotel and Yackandandah Bakery. On Saturday night, walk up to the Yackandandah Hall for our Dance Party.
Firstly some live performers, later followed by a more up - market show featuring SURPRISE GUESTS and Aida & Her Exotic Thai Dancers, you must not miss. Then later still DJ's with grooves to get you flying all over the dance floor.
Sunday: 7th Sept, 2008. Relax or check our website for further details on what to do around Yackandandah. Don't forget to check out the "Who's Yer Daddy" Fathers Day Market held in the Yack hall.
And also our Special Church Service at a new location, open to all denominations.
