Saint Barbara's Festival
Since its conception in 1999, the Saint Barbara's Festival has grown in stature every year and has today established itself an ionic event for the Goldfields region.
Held on an annual basis, the festival is an excellent opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate mining and its contribution to the community. The festival also allows a celebration of mining's contributions to the standard of living and quality of life for people living in the region.
The response from the Kalgoorlie- Boulder Community to the Saint Barbara's Festival concept has been overwhelming. The 2008 Saint Barbara's Festival is definitely and event worth attending, with the event being held over three exciting days, making it one of the most unique celebrations in Australia.
So make the time to get to Kalgoorlie in December and experience a community tribute to the mining industry.
