Southbound Festival
The Southbound Festival is Western Australia’s premier music, camping and arts festival and takes place in the heart of the scenic south west of the state. The festival was born in January 2005 in Busselton.
With its humble beginnings, Southbound quickly grew to incorporate camping in 2006 and in 2007-only the festivals third year-sold out six weeks in advance, with 20,000 punters and 8,000 campers. And 2008’s festival was a bigger success yet again.
The festival attracts mixed demographic, but is largely focussed on young and youth culture. However it is an all age’s event that’s welcoming to music and art lovers of all ages. As one of the largest festivals in Western Australia, punters can expect to experience the biggest names in popular music, crossing genres from rock to acoustic to hip hop to dance.
The festival also employs a dedicated eco-friendly policy.
