Albany Weekender 2008 Classic Motor Event
Historic and beautiful Albany comes alive on the Foundation Day long weekend.
The re-enactment of The Birth of Round the Houses Motor Sports 1936 provides many motor sport enthusiasts an opportunity to participate, spectate and be involved in a wonderful weekend of motor sports. There is something for every motor enthusiast of all ages.
On Saturday, there is the hill climb on Mt Clarence, while Stirling Terrace presents a classical festival. On Sunday, The Round the Houses timed trials are located in the Albany central business district. The City of Albany and Race Officials have approved a 1.4 kilometre course through the central business district of Albany. Every metre of this circuit, from start to finish offers outstanding viewing of the event, with the picturesque Princess Royal Harbour forming a magnificent back drop.
