National Archeology Week

Have you ever wondered what archaeologists do, particularly in Western Australia? Many people when they think of archaeology think of the Pyramids or Indiana Jones. Few are aware of the fascinating archaeology that can be found in their own town or suburb with amazing history located right under their feet.

National Archaeology Week aims to change that with a series of mainly free events, tours and displays highlighting the archaeological heritage of Australia. In the vast spaces of Western Australia a month long program centred on Archaeology Week is organised every year.
