Forget Me Not and Refractions
Forget Me Not and Refractions are two great performances not to miss this year. One follows a man with a thirty second memory, the other an unfaithful, married man with a mirror reflection that refuses to follow him.
These are the foundations of two new dramatic works by writer Damon Lockwood being debuted at Deckchair Theatre, under their Umbrella Program, in October.
Both scripts were inspired by real life events.
Forget Me Not, tells of a man who contracts the virus herpes simplex (the disease that causes cold sores) which loses its way in his body causing his brain to swell and results in him losing his memory, permanently, overnight.
The play takes this astounding and fascinating condition and places it within a family unit that already has a complicated past.
Refractions explores the relationship between a wife, a husband and the husband’s secret gay lover of ten years.
