Affectionately known as The Trocks, this company of professional male dancers presents an inspired blend of their loving knowledge of classical ballet, a brilliant comic approach, and the astounding fact that men can, indeed, dance en pointe without falling flat on their faces.

The Perth 2009 programme begins with the world’s best known ballet and The Trocks much-loved trademark, Act II of Swan Lake. The story of Odette, the beautiful princess turned into a swan by the evil sorcerer and how she is nearly saved by the love of Prince Siegfried.

Also included are new works never seen in Perth; Patterns in Space - a loving parody of Merce Cunningham, a bit of Balanchine in Go for Barocco and the seductive rhythms of Cuba in Majisimas, a fiery ‘tribute’ to the National Ballet of Cuba performed to the music of the 19th century opera El Cid.
