Quit Targa West
Quit Targa West is an exciting and highly prestigious tarmac rally for Western Australia that has already established itself as one of the premier events of its type in the country for Classic and Modern vehicles.
Combining both exhilarating and spectacular driving stages with stimulating social events in a five star environment and highly visible public locations, Quit Targa West has already proven itself to be hugely popular with competitors, spectators and sponsors alike.
Following a similar format to other ‘Targa Style Events’ run around the country such as Targa Tasmania, Rally Tasmania, Classic Adelaide and a number of other tarmac rallies, Targa West can already lay claim to having established itself as the premier amateur motorsport event held in WA.
The event will be run in September and annually at a similar time each year there after.
The event will host approximately 100 competitors from around the country.
The event will be run over a series of challenging and rewarding roads in the outer Perth hills area and adjoining shires of Chittering and Toodyay.
Safety is a primary concern and ranks as our highest priority. Our objective is to make the event extremely exciting but, above all, safe for everyone involved.
Quit Targa West will be run under the auspices of the Confederation of Australia Motor Sport (CAMS). The directors of Targa West have been and continue to be in contact with the Police and local authorities to ensure we have all the correct approvals and the backing in place to run the event in a smooth and professional manner.
Targa West will take tarmac rallying in Western Australia to a whole new level. Ultimately, within five years, growing into an international class event, attracting competitors from all over Australia and South East Asia.
