West Coast 1000

The West Coast 1000 swim was launched in 2008 and was the first attempt at bringing the world record for number of participants in an open water race to Perth.

This year our aim is to rally approximately 4000 swimmers, which would see us land our place in the Guinness Book of World Records. This year's swim will include a 1000 metre race, a 1600 metre race and a 500 metre 'splash for cash', so there is a challenge for every level of swimmer from the novice to the super experienced. Those quickest in the water are up for some great prizes.

World records aside, the West Coast 1000 will be raising funds for Telethon. The swim is simply about fun, fitness and celebrating the Perth way of life.
