Windorah International Yabby Races

The Windorah International Yabby Races is held on the Wednesday leading up to the Birdsville Races and is a must see for all. The yabbies are auctioned off to the highest bidder before each race and then the fun begins. There are 10 yabbies to run in each race and plenty of money to be won if you bid right! The proceeds go towards local charities and the sale of the race form guide goes to helping the Royal Flying Doctor Service stay in the air. There is live music, bar and food all night long for your enjoyment so don’t be shy come along and experience the excitement of a great night out in the bush.
