Each year Wuruma Dam Fish Restocking Association Incorporated holds the Annual Family Fishing Competition. Wuruma Dam is full and overflowing for the first time since 1974 which will be excellent for some good catches.
Species of fish in the dam include Barramundi, Bass, Golden Perch, Silver Perch, Spangled Perch; Eel Catfish and Sleepy Cod. There is free bush camping and families are welcome. There will be entertainment including juggling, fire twirling and karaoke on Saturday night and a bar will operate over the weekend. Food will be on sale by Eidsvold Lions Club, plus soft drinks, chips and ice blocks will also be available.
