Huskisson

Urban

Wrapped around the vast blue playground of Jervis Bay Marine Park, Huskisson is a natural magnet for fans of water sports and classic Australian beach holidays. Fishing, diving, snorkelling and sailing all rank high here while the beaches are pristine, protected and perfect for families.

If you’re visiting between May and November keep an eye out for migrating whales, often sighted inside the bay. Fur seals and dolphins can be seen from cruise vessels departing from Huskisson Wharf. This is Australia’s most northerly fur seal colony, as well as the only mainland colony.

Visit the Lady Denman Heritage Complex and discover the fascinating history of Jervis Bay from the perspectives of whalers, timber cutters and local Aboriginal people. You’ll see shipwrecks, lighthouses and some outstanding examples of boat building. You’ll also find the Lady Denman Ferry that gracefully ferried passengers across Sydney Harbour for many years.
