Tyalgum is a pretty old cedar getting village, nestled in the foothills of Mount Warning, 24 kilometres west of Murwillumbah. Located virtually under the rim of the caldera due west of Mount Warning Tyalgum is famous for its hall, renowned for its acoustics and the attendant Tyalgum Classical Musical Festival each September. It is remarkable, as the hall is constructed of wood with an iron tin roof. The acoustics are said to be superb as long as it doesn't rain!
