Walcha is located on the beautiful New England Tablelands at the gateway to the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. Surrounded by natural attractions, outdoor activities include bushwalking, camping and picnics. Visit Apsley Waterfalls, Tia Waterfall, Budds Mare Lookout and Riverside. Walcha is also known for its public artwork with 27 sculptures dotted around the town. This historic town has excellent cafes and restaurants, a pioneer cottage museum and shops with local art and timber products.
