The small town of Wallendbeen is surrounded by some of the richest and most picturesque farming country in Australia. A centre of enterprise, tradition and leadership, the town has a strong sense of community.

The town oval is home to a cricket club that has fielded a local team since 1887 and hosts a variety of local and regional sporting events. Just to the north of Wallendbeen is Yandilla Mustard Seed Oil processing plant. The Wallendbeen pub is well known for its high-quality meals, roaring fire and cosy atmosphere.

The town is home to boutique heritage pig farmer Ali Betts and her Muddy Pigs Pastured Pork farm.
