Wollombi

Rural

Whether you’re staying a day or a week, there’s no shortage of things to do in and around the Wollombi Valley.

You can easily spend days exploring the history of Wollombi, gateway to Hunter Valley Wine Country. Well preserved Aboriginal engravings can be seen in a few locations. Many sections of the Convict Trail can be walked or accessed by car, and the Wollombi Village Historical Walk takes in the many pre-1860s buildings in the village, including the Endeavour Museum.

Performances are held throughout the year by Valley Artists, which are all highly regarded. Regular art exhibitions are displayed at the Cultural Centre in the village, and the Laguna School Art Show in September is a major annual event.

Explore the Yengo National Park and Watagans, which offer bushwalks of all lengths and difficulty, as well as the spectacular view from Finchley Trig.
