The village of Severnlea, on the highway south of Stanthorpe on the Southern Downs of Queensland, probably has not changed that much over the years. There is still fruit growing, and also topaz fossicking, but now add to that some pretty good wineries. Check out the various byways as these provide access to fruit stalls stocking seasonal stone fruits and berries. Plus those wineries. Years ago, the locals of Severnlea did not realise that young Graham ''Skroo'' Turner was destined to become one of Australia''s most successful businessmen.
