Balgowan

Rural

Once a busy little shipping port, Balgowan is now a small fishing community and popular holiday area for families and fishers. Located just 184 kilometres from Adelaide, the town sits on 20 metre high bluffs with spectacular sea views. Balgowan remains one of Yorke Peninsula’s best locations for catching snapper and King George whiting.

The town has a small caravan park and self contained holiday homes. The Balgowan Kiosk on the clifftop has most general supplies including fuel and gas, and the town has good boat ramp facilities.
