• Dysart is a relative young town, constructed as a service town for the nearby Norwich Park coal mine. Today it still services many nearby mines, including Lake Vermont, Saraji and Peak Downs. A number of mining camps exist within the town. View an operational coal mine, Peak Downs. From the roadside you can catch a glimpse of large mining machinery, such as drag lines, in operation.
