On the banks of the Cudgegong River, Rylstone is one of the oldest settlements west of the Great Dividing Range. it retains it pioneering character in fine architecture: the magnificent Post and Telecommunications Office, police station, courthouse and Shire hall will prompt you to park and take a walk along the towns heritage trail.
Tindle park reserve is on the river's banks and makes a pleasant picnic, barbeque, and swimming spot.
