Bolwarra, New South Wales

An established suburb that lies on a ridge to the north of Maitland in Hunter River Country. The area closer to Lorn was settled in the mid to late 1800's and displays fine examples of Victorian and early Federation houses originally built for the merchants, business and professional people of Maitland.

Bolwarra affords some views of Maitland and offers a quiet walk for those interested in architecture of the late 1800's and early 1900's. It currently has a plant nursery and antique store, corner shop, bed and breakfast and café.
