Deepwater, New South Wales

Deepwater is located 56 kilometres north of Glen Innes and is a popular spot with fisherman. The village of Deepwater has a population of approximately

250 people and has shops, service stations and accommodation in the two local hotels. The area is primarily rural but there are many things to do such as

fishing, fossicking, picnics, scenic drives, or just relax and enjoy the fresh air. One of the best times to visit is during the annual deepwater race meeting

held in January, when the district enjoys the mild summer and a day at the races.
