Crescent Head, New South Wales

Crescent HeadCrescent Head is a pretty seaside village tucked into the lee side of Big Nobby, a volcanic remnant that slopes towards the sea in a tumble of basalt boulders. Between its summit and the sea lies a golf course with magnificent views over the town and ocean.

Crescent Heads is famous for its surf circles. The area is hemmed on the south by Goolawah Reserve and Limeburners Creek Nature Reserve. North of the town lies Hat Head National Park which stretches all the way to South West Rocks. Crescent Head was declared a National Surf Reserve in June 2008.
