Alumny Creek, New South Wales

Alumny Creek Reserve is just north of Grafton, along the Lawrence Road. The Old School House has been set up as a museum of early education and the old class room brings back memories of school days early this century. Group bookings can be made through the Visitor Information Centre. A sports ground and picnic area is available for use. Community markets are held in these grounds on the last Saturday of each month. The markets are set on pristine grounds, preserved by the National Trust & Heritage Council and are a must-see. Wondering what there is to see or buy at the markets? Try hot food and confectionery, home cooking, fresh local produce, homemade arts and crafts, and plants, among other things. There is a lot to entertain the kids!
Alumny Creek is not a town – it is a locality, with a few homes and a great reserve.
