On the Clyde River's broad estuary, Batemans Bay is the launching point for houseboat adventures along the river's 38 navigable kilometres. There are numerous beautiful beaches nearby and surfing, boating, snorkelling and fishing experiences for all.

Batemans Bay offers local seafood restaurant, casual cafes, art galleries and studios. Birdland Animal Park has close encounters with native fauna, while further south at Mogo Zoo get up close to many exotic species. The developing heritage theme park of Old Mogo Town is also drawing visitors.

Surrounded by vast stretches of turquoise water, Narooma is bounded on the north and west by Wagonga Inlet where a charter boat cruise will take you past oyster leases, rainforests and secluded coves, into an area rich in Aboriginal and European history. Narooma offers game fishing charters at reasonable prices and close access to the continental shelf.

Take a tour to Montague Island, one of the southern hemisphere's best dive locations and the site of an historic lighthouse. This island is also a fur seal and penguin habitat and in spring, whales cruise the deep waters on their migration to the southern waters.

Narooma is an ideal holiday venue, with an array of accommodation from beachside camping to resort and bed and breakfasts. Fresh local seafood is a specialty of Narooma's restaurants and cafes. The town offers spectacular cliff top golfing and licensed clubs welcome visitors.

Just south of Narooma is the National Trust village of Central Tilba, a working village where arts and craftspeople display their wares in the 19th century weatherboard cottages.

Rich in history, Moruya has a museum, antiques and second-hand shops. Wander the country markets on a Saturday morning or explore the coastline. North of Moruya Heads, Broulee is the home of relaxation. Swim the crystal clear waters, stroll around the island's scenic walks and breathe in the fresh air.
