Milton is situated on the south coast 60 kilometres south of Nowra and 7 kilometres north of Ulladulla. It's a popular stop on the South Coast arts and crafts trail and features various galleries, antique shops and cafes.
The National Trust of Australia, after surveying and inspecting Milton, classified the township as an Urban Conservation Area in September 1985. Today Miltons's businesses and residents respectfully combine the town's heritage nature with a contemporary lifestyle.
