Take a four wheel drive and travel the countryside along the Bicentennial National Trail, starting from the coastal town of St Lawrence. Visit the historical buildings and sites around St Lawrence, enjoy a spot of fishing or play a game of bowls with the locals on Sunday.

St Lawrence is one of the oldest towns on the coast of Queensland. Interesting sites include the recently refurbished meatworks site and the Centenary Pavilion. There is one General Store, a hotel, post office, bowls club, golf course, swimming pool, Library/internet access centre and an arts and craft shop. Campers and caravans enjoy free use of a recreation reserve with access to clean amenities and great fishing and crabbing spots close by.
