Federation Star
The Federation Star is a stainless steel sculptural obelisk 16 metres high and illuminated at night. Surmounted by two intersecting seven-pointed Federation Stars, the monument celebrates the Centenary of Federation in 2001. It was designed and created by Murrumburran resident Russell Muirheard, using recycled stainless steel. The four faces are etched with indigenous designs, livestock, horticultural and cereal motifs that reflect the history of the area.

Riversdale Homestead is an historic 1830s inn, purchased in 1875 by Edward Twynam who later became Surveyor General of New South Wales. Riversdale remained in his family until acquired by the National Trust in 1967. Set in flowering gardens, Riversdale is furnished as a mid-19th century colonial cottage. Visitors to Riversdale are amply rewarded by the sight of many treasures throughout the house.
