Goymarr Tourist Park
Goymarr Tourist Park Information Centre provides visitors, to the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, with important information on the park. The visitor centre is also the official southern outlet for the purchase of a Kakadu National Park entry pass. Visitors can pick-up brochures on what attractions and experiences are available within the park and the centre also has a good collection of local Aboriginal art and other souvenirs.

Maguk
Located an hour's drive south from Cooinda, in World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, is Maguk. A 14 kilometre four-wheel drive trip off the Kakadu Highway, followed by a one kilometre walk, leads to a beautiful natural plunge pool at the base of the steep gorge walls. Take the short but moderately difficult climb to the top of the waterfall where there sits crystal clear pools that are perfect for a refreshing dip. The panoramic view also makes the hike worth the effort, allow one to two hours. An entry fee of AUD25.00 per person over the age of 16 years

Yellow Water
Yellow Water is a landlocked billabong brimming with native flora and fauna and is one of World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park's best-known landmarks. See the park's wildlife on board a Yellow Water Cruise or during a walk along the boardwalks on the water's edge. Known as Ngurrungurrudjba, the billabong is located near the small settlement of Cooinda. It is home to crocodiles, wild horses, buffalo and other wildlife. Yurmikmik Walks
Located in the southern region of Kakadu National Park, the Yurmikmik Walks are a series of interconnected walking tracks that provide a range of bushwalking experiences, and are pleasant in the summer months. Yurmikmik is the Jawoyn name for the country between the Marrawal Plateau and the South Alligator River. Notice the contrast as you walk from the cool creeks and monsoon forests to the heat of the open woodlands, and from the trees in the woodland valley to the stunted rocky ridge and plateau vegetation. Brian Creek Monsoon Forest
Brian Creek Monsoon Forest, in the Mary River National Park which is an hour's drive from Darwin, is a short walk through a pocket of rainforest where you will notice the contrast between the wildlife here and the surrounding woodlands. These pockets are significant examples of remnant vegetation communities that are surrounded by dry lowland woodland savannah. The walk is relatively easy, allow 45 minutes round trip, and a picnic table at the start of the track provides a quiet spot to rest and enjoy the surrounds.
