The Darling Downs Zoo is situated in a beautiful rural setting on the eastern Downs - midway between Toowoomba and Warwick - just over two hour's drive from the Brisbane Central Business District. Lake Annand Park
Lake Annand is a pleasant water attraction which has been created along Toowoomba's East Creek. At just two hectares, Lake Annand Park is one of the more compact of the city's recreation spaces, but in popularity terms its appeal is wide. Historical Mural Series
Follow the trail of Millmerran and Cecil Plains' historical murals, where various stages of the region's history are depicted on the side of buildings. The Old Millmerran Butter Factory Mural depicts the development of the dairy industry. Swim costume fashions of years gone by feature on the wall of Millmerran's Swimming Pool. The Millmerran Reservoir Mural shows the development of transport from the nineteenth century to the early part of the twentieth century. The four giant Murals at the Cecil Plains Memorial Hall illustrate life on the land and the coming of the railway line.

Laurel Bank Park
Laurel Bank Park is a beautiful parkland area close to the Toowoomba city centre, featuring spectacular manicured gardens, a scented garden, a playground, picnic area and croquet greens. As well as containing an outstanding collection of exotic trees, including English and Spanish oaks, ginkos and Japanese maples, the park is home to the tranquil Scented Gardens. This unique 'garden within a garden' was created by Toowoomba City Council and the Rotary Club of Toowoomba East from ideas presented by the Downs Association of the Blind, and occupies approximately 0.5 hectare of the park's four and a half hectare area.
