Table Cape Lighthouse Experience
The Table Cape Lighthouse, near Wynyard in Tasmania's northwest, is now open for tours. The historic lighthouse was first lit up on August 1st 1888 and the area abounds with stories that will be brought to life by the skilled local guides, immersing you in tales from the ancient to the now. Take the 45 minute tour around the precinct and up the spiral staircase, stopping on the way to gaze out onto the magnificent views from the windows. Find yourself beneath the huge fresnel lens in the lantern room, and become engrossed in the mirrors that magnify and shine

Stanley Discovery Museum and Geneology Centre
The Discovery Centre contains a wealth of information relating to the history of the Stanley district and many items of interest collected in the area. Some of the items on display include: Antique bric-a-brac, Photographic display, numerous household and farming utensils of settlement days, 1850 wedding gown, marine curios, relics from ships that once sailed in the area. bowsprit of ship Kermandie, mineral display, and locally made souvenirs and handcrafts are for sale. Genealogy search AUD5 which includes your entry fee. Opening hours of the centre are 1000 – 1600 daily from September to June. The centre is closed weekdays
