Silverdale Olive Orchard
Tucked away, just one kilometre off the Brand Highway some ten kilometres north of Dongara is Silverdale Olive Orchard and Processing Facility. If you are travelling north for a spot of fishing at Geraldton or Kalbarri, or inland to enjoy the spring wildflowers at Mingenew, why not include Silverdale in your itinerary.
At Silverdale visitors are offered free tastings of the extensive range of extra virgin olive oils and olive products, which are all produced on site, in the purpose built rammed earth processing and presentation facility. All of our products are available for sale direct to the public at very realistic prices.
While at Silverdale you will see the very first olive oil processing machinery to be installed in the mid west region; be able to take a walk through the grove, or just enjoy the view and tranquillity from the comfort of our spacious verandahs. During the harvest season from early March to the end of June you will even be able to "Pick-Your-Own" table olives for pickling at home to your favourite recipe.
Silverdale is a family operated orchard of nearly 2000 trees and is currently the only grove in the Dongara area offering the public direct access to quality extra virgin olive oils.
