Terrigal

Suburb

Terrigal sits at the southern end of a stunning four kilometre surf beach. Its beautiful location on Broken Head makes it a popular holiday destination for families, surfers and outdoor enthusiasts.

The town is a blend of natural beauty, sophisticated dining, a lively cafe culture and plenty of good accommodation. Outdoor activities include fishing, swimming, surfing, boating, diving and scenic walks. An easy walk up the Skillion Lookout provides panoramic coastal views and there is a famous dive 1.4 kilometres offshore that is the site of the ex-HMAS Adelaide wreck.

Try beach fishing in the local waters and watch out for whales that migrate along the coast from May to October. Visit Wamberal Lagoon and its sanctuary for protected birds and animals, swim in Terrigal lagoon and hang-glide at nearby Forresters Beach. Surrounding MacMasters Beach, North Avoca and Wamberal have some of the best ocean beaches in the area.
