For ecotourism seekers, the Country Charm® Discovery Tour is an eco-certified, self-drive tour of the beautiful Scenic Rim region of South-East Queensland, part of one of Australia’s exciting National Landscapes – the ‘Green Cauldron’. The discovery tour can commence in Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

The eco tour itinerary includes a variety of wonderful experiences featuring visits to national parks, with specialised interpretation of the flora, fauna and landscapes (including a vineyard tour), as well as a tour of a fascinating heritage site and an indigenous cultural experience. High quality, COVIDSAFE accommodation at award-winning, advanced ecotourism resorts (Mt Barney Lodge and O’Reilly’s Rainforest Resort or Binaburra Sky Lodges) and all meals are also included in one of two packages.

Details of the tour itinerary are included in supplied maps and ‘easy to follow’ navigation instructions for the entire journey. For travellers requiring a rental vehicle, special rates have been negotiated with Avis Australia. The assigned exclusive travel agency, Wye and James Travel Associates can also arrange all travel requirements to and from Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

Three Day/Two Nights Tour: Accommodation (four star) at the Advanced Ecotourism Mt Barney resort located next to World Heritage-listed Mt Barney National Park near Rathdowney. All inclusive price: $889 pp (weekdays), $1,099 (including weekend night) or $1,309 (including weekend night, single supplement).

Four Day /Three Nights Tour: An extra one night’s accommodation in the Advanced Ecotourism O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat located adjacent to the Lamington National Park . All inclusive price: $1,139 pp (weekdays), $1,499 (including weekend night at Mt Barney) or $1,709 (including weekend night, single supplement at Mt Barney). To stay at the recently reopened Sky Lodges at Binna Burra, a higher price will apply, details of which can be obtained on application.
