Freedom III is a 17 metre Power Cat perfectly suited to luxury whale watching in Hervey Bay Queensland. Three levels of uninterrupted viewing plus a water level platform gets you as close to the whales as possible making this an ideal Whale Watch Vessel. The hydrophone lets you hear the whales sing.

The full day tour allows you hours to relax, unwind, be awestruck and pampered while enjoying delicious catering for morning, afternoon teas and lunch. Freedom is surveyed for 49 people maximum for Whale Watching and day touring so you won’t feel crowded. Service and comfort is paramount. The whale watching tour is eco-tourism accredited. They care about the environment and the creatures around them.

Whale encounters in Hervey Bay are very special. Close interactions occur most days and mothers nurturing their calves are witnessed in September and October.

Their crew want to make your time on Freedom III enjoyable, memorable and fun. From November to June they are available for charter for private functions and overnight expeditions within the Great Sandy Strait Marine Park and Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The views of K’gari(Formerly known as Fraser Island) western beaches are breathtaking and and water is usually calm and cool.

Freedom III Whale Watch

From $160 to $180

Enjoy a full day tour with the Humpback Whales which call Hervey Bay home during their annual migration on board Freedom III, a 17 metre power catamaran.

While cruising the usually calm waters of the bay you will enjoy home baked treats for morning tea, a tropical buffet lunch and cheese and fruit platters for afternoon tea. Tea, coffee and filtered water is available all day.

Three levels of viewing means everyone gets a great experience plus the water level platform gets you even closer when the whales come to people watch. The hydrophone allows the chance of hearing the whalesong. Expert commentary is supplied by the skipper and the friendly crew will do their utmost to make your day as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Courtesy bus transfers are available from Hervey Bay accommodation but there is also free parking at the Marina if you prefer.

K'gari Western Beaches Discovery Cruise with Whale & Dolphin Cruise

Explore the unique locations of the Great Sandy Marine Park on this five-hour cruise from Urangan Harbour.

Cruise by Round Island, Big Woody Island, Pelican Bank and then up the western side of Fraser Island from Moon Point to Platypus Bay while searching for dolphins, whales(in season), turtles, dugong and even dingoes wish sometimes roam the beaches in search of food.
