Join Rodney Fox Shark Expeditions – the world’s first and original great white shark dive on the MV Rodney Fox for the ultimate great white shark adventure!

More time and less people with a max. of 18 guests onboard.

Tours depart from Port Lincoln, South Australia to the beautiful and world-famous Neptune Islands.

No diver certification is needed to view the magnificent great whites safely from our surface cage. Our PADI-qualified crew give full briefings and make sure everyone onboard is happy and confident!

For certified SCUBA divers, experience the great white shark like very few have in our world-exclusive ocean floor cage! Be amazed as great white sharks swim above you and down amongst other endemic Southern Ocean fish life such as huge smooth rays and eagle rays.

For maximum shark time and weather, our itineraries are 2-3 nights over summer and 3-5 nights through winter. Each tour includes a stop-off with the ultra-cute Australian sea lion for a swim, snorkel, or dive.

After a day’s diving, sit back and relax with local South Australian food and wine while watching the Neptune sunset. Shark research talks and presentations also given onboard!

The Great White Expedition gives 3 days diving and 3 nights onboard the Rodney Fox. This is the perfect trip for anyone who has ever wanted to jump into the cage and experience the thrill of seeing Great White Sharks up close. Even being able to watch the sharks from the boat is truly incredible.

This tour includes four full days dedicated to Great White Shark diving at both North and South Neptune Islands. Our itinerary includes plans to target other South Australian underwater icons such as the Australian Sea Lion’s at Hopkins Islands. You are also able to immerse yourself through a stunning tour around the Neptune Islands, exclusive to RF Shark Expeditions. Shark research talks are also conducted throughout some evenings.

Once the sun goes down, you are able to unwind and relax whilst feasting on our chefs selection (catered to all dietaries). You are then encouraged to check out the sunsets before you retire back to your cabin ready for the next day.

This special 4 day and 4 Night tour is at the time of year when the giant female sharks are more likely to visit, combined with typically mild early Autumn weather This expedition is perfect for people who are looking for an intimate Great White Shark experience and learn a lot about Great Whites.

On this Expedition, we launch the world’s only Ocean Floor Cage (for qualified SCUBA Divers). However, all guests are able to get up-close and personal with Great Whites in our Surface Cage. It is an expedition for people who are very interested sharks and their behaviour, experienced divers, adventurers, shark photographers and anyone who, like us, has a passion for spending lots of time with these incredible creatures.

You can expect 4 days worth of diving in order to gain as much time with the Great White Sharks as possible, as well as snorkeling with the Australian Sea Lions and exploring the great Neptune Island itself. During the evening, shark research presentations are available whilst you enjoy unwinding and relaxing from the busy day. Be sure to check out the sunset before hitting your cabin before your next day ahead.

A special six-day live-aboard expedition includes four days of peak Great White Shark Diving, an Australian sea lion dive or two, plus other extras in this comprehensive expedition package. What we love about this time of year is that there is extreme shark reliability and many photographic opportunities.

This tour includes five full days dedicated to Great White Shark diving at both North and South Neptune Islands. Our itinerary includes plans to target other South Australian underwater icons including the Australian Sea Lion’s at Hopkins Islands. This tour also includes a stunning tour around the Neptune Islands, exclusive to RF Shark Expeditions. This tour also includes Shark Research Talks. In a season of spectacular sunsets, sunrises, whales, albatross, and rainbows this exciting 5-Day and 5-Night ocean adventure is perfect for people who are looking for a versatile winter date at a time when the largest mature Great White Sharks have traditionally been seen at the Neptune Islands. On this expedition, we launch the world’s only Ocean Floor Cage (for qualified SCUBA Divers). However, all guests are able to get up-close and personal with Great Whites in our Surface Cage. It is an expedition for people who are very interested in sharks and their behavior, experienced divers, adventurers, shark photographers and anyone who, like us, has a passion for these incredible creatures.

It is also a trip held in the Southern Hemispheres winter season where we might occasionally lose a day or two due to bad weather. As a result, the extended itinerary is perfect to allow for any days sitting out poorer weather by doing land-based activities or shore-based dives (eg. Cuttlefish or Leafy Sea Dragons road trips) or seeing other wildlife and local attractions. The evenings will bring opportunities to immerse within the beauty of the Neptune Islands, listening to the sounds of the seals indulging at dinner.

This is the perfect trip for anyone who, a little pressed for time, has ever wanted to jump into the cage and experience the thrill of seeing Great White Sharks up close. Even watching them from the boat is amazing.

Passengers are welcomed on board ready for the first night of travel to the Neptune Islands. Formalities will take place ready for the diving to begin on day two. It’s worth getting up at day-break for the rest of the journey down to the Neptune Islands. The breathtaking scenery through the Thorny passage is something not to be missed.

We now stop by the Hopkins Islands where you can snorkel with Australian Sea Lions. Later, we anchor at the Neptune Islands, where you’ll no doubt spot a few dorsal fins. Divers are briefed, and the cages hit the water.

Relax, unwind, talk about the day while feasting on the chefs dinner selection, check out the amazing night-sky, retire to your cabin.

Diving resumes the next day, as well as the chance to jump on the tender boat to check out the New Zealand Fur Seals and walk around the Neptune Islands before we return back to Port Lincoln that night.
