Wascoe Siding Train Park
Wascoe Siding is a picnic area open the 1st Sunday of the month 10.30-4pm. Perfect place to bring along a picnic lunch and join the miniature train ride at a cost of $2.00 per ride.
The Blue Mountains Railway Society invites visitors of any age to travel on the special trains, which are hauled either by a Steam Engine, or by a Diesel or Electric Locomotive. Their ride covers a system which boasts 300m of 5" (127 mm ) gauge mainline ground level track, plus a tunnel and marshalling yard with 21 points.
In addition, in the Steaming Bay Area where the locomotives are serviced, there is a 3 m diameter turntable.
Barbecue facilities, a Kiosk with light refreshments and souvenirs are available on site. There is no entry into the park.
Please note to be able to ride the trains Enclosed Shoes MUST be worn.
