Hillcrest Coachman
The Hillcrest Coachman is a multi-award winning restaurant set in one of the Blue Mountains' most beautiful historic estates surrounded by superb gardens at the very entrance to Leura. French chef, Jean-Charles Crave, formerly from the 3-star Michelin Guide winning London restaurant, Chez Nico, has created a French regional menu from Bordeaux and Gascony with specialties such as Duck pate served with a confit of French shallots, Tuna fillet with a lime beurre blanc and Dark chocolate marquise. Guests can enjoy live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night featuring top Australian and international jazz artists. The dining rooms are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Saturday and Sunday lunch.
The Hillcrest Coachmant is the ideal setting for weddings and functions and that special night out
in every season of the year. Cherry blossoms in spring, glorious shades of
colour in summer, autumn reds and winter magic with an open fire.
Baroness Christine Pirquet von Cesenatico and her husband, Wolfgang Moeller,
restored the estate to its original splendour. Built at the beginning of the
century by the Scottish shipping agent, Scott Fell, the rooms are clad with
wood panelling reflecting that sense of yesteryear. Bay windows looking out
onto the garden create a perfect romantic setting. Each room leads onto the
verandah and further, into the garden, allowing guests to have predinner
drinks, a stroll or photo sessions there.
