Rick Rutherford’s Country - is located within the heritage precinct of Lawson, on the Badgery Crescent side of Lawson and now the recently opened Leura Store.
Rick launched the magazine “Australian Country Collections”, and has a passion for the past and a desire to see it not just preserved but play an important part within the here-and-now. With this in mind he has restored a graceful Blue Mountains Lawson property creating a unique country gallery in the process which is open to the public to inspect firsthand.
Within its many rooms, Rick Rutherford’s Country is a world of country looks spanning the many traditions and interpretations of what country is all about. Each room has its own individual theme, creating a feeling of stepping into another time or place. Rooms include an elegant Victorian room; another dedicated to the folksy, primitive American look plus the gorgeous Cottage room and another focused on more Retro interpretations of the country theme. A Children’s room, traditional English room, Coastal corridor and year-round Christmas room complete the retinue of country looks … each one filled to the brim with unique wares and special treasures to help create the warmth and reassuring comfort of country in any home.
Now you have the pleasure of enjoying a second venue with the opening of the gorgeous Leura shop, with its colonial paned window alcove and rich wooden floors and furnishings in the Strand Arcade in the centre of Leura Mall.
