Adventure caving is about leaving the paths and fixed lights and following your experienced guide to the depths of the earth.
Whether you are a first timer or skilled adventurer, there is an adventure to suit you.
They can tailor-make activities to suit any size group, from show cave tours (there are show caves for all ages and fitness levels), to all day Adventure Cave tours.
Their challenging Adventure Caving tours range from two and a half hours to six hours. Geared up with personal head-lamps and overalls, you will assist each other and rely on teamwork to make your way through the caves.
Your adventure caving experience can involve abseiling - ideal in building self-confidence. Experience the challenge and satisfaction of learning a new skill.

Adventure Cave TourThe Plughole is Jenolan's comprehensive introduction to Adventure Caving. On this tour, you abseil 100 metres into Elder Cave exploring through roomy caverns and snaking through narrow tunnels, eventually coming out in the Imperial Cave far below. You abseil, wear overalls, a hard hat and find your way by the light of a miners' lamp. You crawl in the dust, climb and slide over rocks, squeeze through narrow tunnels, holes and crevices deep underground. It is fun, fascinating and challenging from start to finish. Although it sounds dangerous, Jenolan's friendly Adventure tour guides are all highly experienced, encouraging teamwork. Your guide will help you all the way, while delivering a fascinating commentary - enabling you to experience the cave in different ways. They supply all equipment, lights and protective clothing. You should wear clothes that can get dirty and sneakers/joggers or bushwalking boots. The trip takes approximately two hours to complete with a limited group size of twelve and a minimum age of 10. Other Adventure Caves include, Aladdin Adventure Cave, Mammoth Adventure Cave and Central River Adventure Cave. | |
