Sturt Gallery and Cafe
Established in 1941, the Sturt Craft Centre in Mittagong has a strong reputation as a centre of excellence for the Australian contemporary craft and design.
Sturt Café situated in the beautiful established cottage gardens of Sturt, offers an outdoor terrace with tables in the garden and indoor seating, open fire and wooden floors. Lunch features casual light fare and sweet things are available all day served with coffee or your choice of teas.
Sturt Gallery showcases high quality craft, design and fine art created by selected craftspeople working both at Sturt and throughout Australia. The exhibition program highlights the work of a variety of artists throughout the year.
The Sturt campus incorporates studios, workshops and some teaching facilities for fine woodworking, ceramics, weaving and jewellery and metals. There is also a large retail crafts shop and a guest accommodation unit.
