Cooma Cottage
Cooma Cottage is a single storey colonial house built in 1835 for pioneering pastoralist Cornelius O'Brien, later becoming the home of the famous overland explorer Hamilton Hume between 1839 and 1873.
In 1970, the National Trust of Australia acquired this property in a derelict condition and over the next 18 years carried out an extensive conservation program to restore it.
Today it functions as a house museum and features an exhibition of the life of Hume. It is located four kilometres out of Yass.
