Braidwood Museum

The Braidwood Museum, situated in the main street of the National Trust
Heritage Town of Braidwood, was built of local granite as the Royal Mail
Hotel in 1845. This grand building was bought by the Oddfellows Friendly
Society in 1882 and since 1970 has been owned and operated by the local
Historical Society.

The museum shows you something of the lifestyle of those early times and the
dramatic events of the gold fields, bushrangers and the Chinese settlers.

To find out more about this region's historical and recreational facilities
