Touch The Roof of Australia

The Australian Alps are a delightful place to visit in summer, when the mountain streams are flowing and the snow gums are set off by a carpet of flowers. First inhabited by Aboriginal people, the region is famous as home to the legend of The Man From Snowy River, wild frontier gold settlements, and the modern marvel of the Snowy Hydro Power Scheme.

These rugged ranges contain a fascinating mix of unique landscapes, pastoral and mining heritage, winding mountain roads, quaint historic villages, magical caves, panoramic lookouts and the source of some of Australia's most famous rivers.

Spend a week exploring the region on a fully-guided all-inclusive tour, stay in unique accommodation, enjoy good food and great company.

Climb Mount Kosciuszko, explore the beautiful Yarrangobilly Caves, visit a trout farm, see where the first pictures of man on the moon were received and broadcast, walk through stunning alpine landscapes.

Tours depart Sydney on Sunday, return Saturday.
