Bywong Town Tours

Bywong Gold Mining Town existed from 1895 - 1906. Groups of 10 or more can go on fully guided tours through the authentic 1890's village and see it as it was over a century ago. Work in the blacksmith shop, pan for gold and turn the tiny stamp mill. Operate the 'whim', see machinery that separated gold from the ore out of the mineshafts and visit the mining area; unchanged since the last gold extractions. Flexible booking times exist between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Weekend visits are negotiable. Bookings are essential.
