One of the few locations offering winch launches and only two hours south of Sydney, Southern Tablelands Gliding Club Goulburn is ideally suited to those who wish to learn to fly a glider or those who seek an exciting experience at an affordable price. The surrounding area is grazing country and cross-country flying is possible. Australia has the finest conditions for gliding in the world.
They operate a twin-seat and a single seat aircraft. All training is done in two dual-controlled two-seaters by qualified instructors. Gliding is the sport of flying unpowered aircraft, or sailplanes..
Men and women of all ages spend their leisure time gliding. Their club has trained people from 14 to 75 years.
They fly most Saturdays, weather permitting. Confirmation on the morning is required. On occasions they fly Sundays and other times.
