Henry Kendall Cottage and Historical Museum
Set on 2.5 acres with peaceful surroundings, amongst large leafy trees it was once a home for pioneer poet
Henry Kendall, one room contains some of the poets possessions, the remaining rooms are furnished as an
old cottage.
Built by Peter Fagan with convict labour. It is built from various shapes and sizes of sandstone gathered from
around the property. Some still have oyster shells embedded. A slab wash-house and two seater pit 'dunny'
complete the cottage setting.
A spacious historical museum now displays a wide variety of items from the past including typewriters, bottles
and old memorabilia a slab shed contains tools and farm machinery.
Barbecue and picnic facilities available with wood provided.
Disabled facilities - toilet available close by at West Gosford shops.
