Fossil Wall
The colonial Mecca building in the centre of town in Market Street has many
items of interest for the tourist. Originally the Town Hall Hotel built in the
1850's. The front wall was reconstructed from local stone donated by local
people and contains leaf and fish fossils, petrified wood and many interesting
shapes of various local stone.
