Historical Buildings of Bathurst

Bathurst is Australia's oldest inland settlement, and a walking tour has been designed to allow you to see some of the historic buildings and sites, as well as learn something of the history of the city.

The walking tour views a total of 30 buildings of historical significance including various restaurants, churches, the court house and Bassett House (dwelling of 1840's). The walk should take about 90 minutes.

The self drive tour has a similar format although takes in a few other sites such as private homes and the foundation cairn. The drive tour should take about 60 - 90 minutes. Brochure and more information can be obtained from Bathurst Visitors' Centre.

Guides are also available for walking or driving tours at a cost.
