Sandstone Caves - Pilliga Forest Reserve

A series of small shallow caves which encircle the base of a small hill. Caused by weathering over many years, these caves are just a short walk from the car park following the pink markers on the trees. The walk takes around 40 minutes.

It is imperative that those wishing to visit the caves area call at the visitors centre in Coonabarabran for maps and directions as there are no signs giving directions to the caves.
